On the 16/04/04 I signed up for a Super Celeron 1.7 and went with the $99 setup deal and $79 monthly which came down to $89 with cpanel monthly extra fee.

I had a few sales question regarding signup form on why Red Hat Enterprise was the recommended and they did explain to me red hat 9 was coming to a dead date, the reply was within 15mins. Funny because 3 people replied to me instead of being delt with one, I didn’t need to ask any further questions if I didn’t quite understand one answer because three of their sales support answered fairly well (I think somehow they must of all clicked on my sales email at the same time).

They said 24 hours setup once payment is confirmed, got my server 19-20 hours later. The email with the server details and that was very well explained to get you running.

One thing that I don’t like is the Orbit Center, this is the place were you log in for support and server related services. I find this not well laid out and not very nice of a system to use.

So now I have been with server matrix for like nearly two weeks. My first 2 days I needed to put in 3 support tickets regarding why my cpanel kept crashing which fixed itself up after a reboot, this is an error some people seem to have with RHE and Cpanel daemon.

My reboot ticket got answered in 20mins; my first support ticket was a simple one regarding the cpanel crash… I went around and found the answer myself and updated the tick which was 15mins later (tech looked at my ticket after 5mins of me telling them what was the cause and they said “is there anything else we can help you with”).

Also my email to accounts was never answered about cancellation information that every user should know was never answered and I had to get my own info from other users on their forum of customers.

I notice that in 20mins they will look at your support ticket but wont respond unless its something simple like putting in a request for IP reverse, They usually just leave it till you find your own answer and update the ticket then 5mins later they reply – “Is there anything else we can help you with”. I think they try to leave you with problems and they deal with the easiest request for service and stuff first before they attend to you.

There seems to be not network related problems since I was with them for the short 2 weeks and there hasn’t been any complaints about network by current customers on the forum either. Although some people like me wish their support could be better, the others that use phone support love them. I would say for sure they are lacking Orbit Ticket Support. Phone support isn’t an option for me as I live in Australia and oversea calls can be expensive as everyone knows.
